FRANCE-TRANSPORT-RAIL

The new LGV (French High Speed Line, the seventh of a series) is pictured on June 29, 2011, at Auxon-Dessus station, Burgundy, centraleastern France, during tests. The train, which will operate on the Rhine-Rhone line, reached on June 30, the record top speed of 352km/ph (218.72 mph). The tests will carry on until the end of August and will be put into service on December 11.
